Ryan cofounded and runs Cyph (cyph.com), an easy-to-use quantum-resistant E2EE messenger, as well as a patented in-browser code signing service for high-security web apps called WebSign (websign.app).

In the past, Ryan has worked as a software engineer at SpaceX, collected on various Google bug bounties, and presented novel approaches to application security at conferences such as Black Hat and DEF CON.

Noteworthy open source work by Ryan includes co-authoring libsodium.js, writing pqcrypto.js, and launching a now-defunct music streaming service called Napster.fm.
